2022-2023 HEAT Kick-Off Meeting
What: Home Education Athletic Teams (a.k.a. Tyler HEAT) is hosting a season kickoff meeting for all sports for the 2022-2023 school year.
Who: Homeschool parents and players entering grades 6 through 12 who are interested in playing with HEAT – Tyler’s Christian Homeschool Sports Organization. Teams for 2022-2023 include Cross Country, 6-Man Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball, and Track & Field. (Childcare is not available, but younger children are welcome if your family can provide proper supervision.)
Date: Tuesday, July 12, 2022
Time: 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Location: Southside Baptist Church – Gym – 8875 Old Jacksonville, Tyler, TX 75703
Meeting Purpose: Informational meeting and fellowship for HEAT families for all sports. Registration information will be available for all sports and registration will be open for fall sports – volleyball, cross country and 6-man football.
All meetings will be held in the gym and it will be very hot outside, so plan accordingly. Families can fellowship quietly in the gym and lobby area, but please show respect for the meetings in progress. A group meeting and breakout meetings for specific sports will be held throughout the evening. Please plan to attend the 7pm group meeting and the breakout meeting for your sport.
Kickoff Meeting Schedule:
6:00 pm – Volleyball
6:30 pm – 6-Man Football
7:00 pm – All HEAT meeting
7:30 pm – Basketball
8:00 pm – Cross Country & Informal Softball Interest meeting
8:30 pm – Track & Field & Baseball
*Please try to attend the sport-specific meetings you are interested in so you can meet coaches, hear information specific to the sport, learn about expectations and ask questions.

What if you can’t make it to the Kick-Off meeting, can you still play for HEAT?
Yes. We will miss meeting you in person, but you may go online to etxheat.org and sign up. Make sure to read the rules and expectations for your sport. You are agreeing to adhere to HEAT’s expectations and code of conduct by signing up. Any information provided by each coach will be made available on the website after the meeting.
